Grace Banks
Owner of Curly Cleaner
Hi, I’m Grace Banks—born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota—and I’m the owner of Curly Cleaner.
I’ve been professionally cleaning for eight years, and I treat it as more than “tidying up.” A well-cleaned space changes how you feel in it. It can calm your nervous system, clear your mind, and make your home—or your business—feel like a place you actually want to be. That’s the part I fell in love with: walking into overwhelm and leaving behind relief.
I got into this work young, during a time when I needed to build stability fast. I was already working in restaurants when I added a third job with a local cleaning company and learned the craft from the ground up. That training gave me a foundation I still use every day: how to clean with intention, how to be efficient without rushing, and how to leave a space genuinely refreshed—not just “good enough.”
In 2021, I started Curly Cleaner and built a steady rotation of clients—many of whom I still clean for regularly. One of the best parts of this work has been watching people’s relationship with their space change. Over time, a home stops feeling like a source of stress. A business starts feeling polished and welcoming. People feel proud again. They can breathe again.
As a queer Afro-Latina small business owner, I’m proud of what I’ve built—and I’m grateful I get to do work that helps people. If you’re looking for a cleaner who’s dependable, detail-focused, and genuinely cares about the result, I’d love to work with you.
